In retained searches, the client receives full attention of the
recruiter until the search is complete. Retained searches are
appropriate for hard-to-find employees, or for positions where
quick results are critically important. With the retained arrangement,
the client directs all internal and external candidates to DEDICATED,
who then presents the most qualified two to three candidates.
The fee for a retained search is based on a percentage of the
employee's first year's expected compensation.
In contingency searches, the process is generally the same but
the amount of time to fill the position may be longer. The fee
for a contingency search is based on a percentage of the employee's
first year's expected compensation, and is payable in full prior
to the new hire's first day of employment.
